A 31-year-old photographer from Seixal, Portugal, has a signature style when shooting portraits, fashion, lifestyle, and body photography. While his portfolio is well-rounded, his specialty is capturing the male form — emphasizing beauty, strength, and sensuality. With a Photography and Visual Culture degree from the IADE-U Institute of Art, Design, and Enterprise, he continuously evolves his creative skillset, showcasing male nudity in adaptive and fresh ways.
A Unique Perspective on Male Beauty
David's approach to photography is anchored by his fascination with people. Unlike other photographers who create elaborate themes and intricate narratives, David prioritizes the model as the subject and story. He says, "The clothes, the spot, the light — that's secondary. What's more important is the models and what they give to the photo." This focus on the individual allows David to capture a person's essence, creating truly intimate images.
Inspiration and Evolution
Like many artists who draw inspiration from the world around them, David's work is stimulated by the media he encounters, the books he reads, his contemporaries in the creative space — but most significantly— the models themselves. His current project, the "Golden Boys" series, explores the interplay of gold and blue light, adding a new dimension to his work while accentuating the male form.
